At first, anyway. I read the LA Times story and thought “ah hell, there goes the high road”.

But the LA Times has never been known for objectivity, so I went looking for other reports about the big riot, and didn’t find any.

Isn’t it odd that what the LA Times is reporting as a full-blown riot, and the actions of what one local TV report called “terrorists”, isn’t lighting up the news around the world? Because if true, it would be the biggest and most violent reaction to Trump yet.

But now I think it didn’t happen. At least, not the riot, not the terrorism. I took a second look at a video clip posted by LA channel 9 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDtaLdgoz7Y) helpfully titled “Anti-Trump Protesters Make This Displeasure Quite Evident”, and I didn’t see a riot at all. In the helicopter footage, shot from a distance at a wide angle (because, allegedly, the signs contained profanity too dangerous to risk showing on TV, oh sure), you see people milling around, not doing much of anything. I suspect most of them are waiting for a ride home.

But the damn “reporter” is going on excitedly about the massive, surging crowds (maybe a hundred actually visible), and the dogpiling of a car (that tried to drive through the crowd? What would you expect?) which he labelled “terroristic”.

It was a partisan hatchet job. There was no riot and no terrorism. Just more rightwing media agitprop.

Oh, and BTW, check out that URL: “gays-for-trump-crowd-gathers-at-costa-mesa-rally”. Really? Now it’s all the fault of The Gays?

More partisan bullshit. What a disappointing waste of time.

What I said didn’t make Rob feel good… THEREFORE it obviously cannot be true. No further refutation is needed- that is why he offered none.

What Trump says DOES make Rob feel good, so he accepts it unquestioningly, facts and logic are mere distractions used by the liberals to confuse people… QED.
If Trump says he will build a wall and make mexico pay for it, well that makes Rob feel good… so it is true… if it turns out Trump is lying, then that is fine with Rob because Trump still at least said something that made him feel good…

It really is that simple… it is what makes RobVG a good conservative republican.
