One thing they might want to teach them is to recognize NATO uniforms and Taliban dress.  Americans keep getting killed by trainees who have been in training for about 10 years.  Ten goddamned years.  To recognize one end of a rifle.  They can’t be that stupid, even though the Americans are.

“Two Nato soldiers have been killed in the south of Afghanistan and a third was wounded when two attackers wearing the uniform of Afghan security forces opened fire on them, Nato has said.”

“There have been several incidents in recent years of Afghan security forces turning their arms on coalition troops.”

“US troop numbers are due to be reduced from 9,800 to 5,500 by the start of 2017, but there is increasing speculation that Gen Nicholson may request a delay in the drawdown to keep the training mission running.”
