Dessert . . . June 7, 2016 11:44 am DanS

Been a while.

Anyway, I did something the other day that blew my mind…

I was hungry, but not for a full meal. I was looking around the kitchen, where my inventory uncovered fresh blueberries, fresh strawberries, a loaf of Brownberry whole-grain Health Nut bread, wildflower honey, coconut almond Silk (that milk replacement concoction) and evoo (extra-virgin olive oil).

I toasted 2 slices of bread.

While this was cooking, I dropped a couple handfuls of blueberries into an oiled pan and fried. I gave them a light squeeze of honey and a dash of Silk.

Toast was done and I sliced them into squares, 12 each. I arranged one set of 12 on a small, deep dish and poured the blueberries on top, and topped that with the other 12 squares.

4 to 6 strawberries, chopped, are given the same treatment as the blueberries, then poured on the second layer of toast squares.

Topped off with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and ground ginger.

I took a bite, and it was amazing! A light dusting of confectioners sugar might add a few marvels to the raves.

Cheers out there, and eat well.
