Mike Pence chastised President Obama on Friday for indirectly referring to Donald Trump as a demagogue, saying — perhaps ironically — that “name calling” has no “place in public life.”

Pence, responding directly to the president’s comments about Trump at the Democratic convention on Wednesday, told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt: “I don’t think name calling has any place in public life, and I thought that was unfortunate that the president of the United States would use a term like that.”

Pence’s remarks backed up against his own running mate’s use of derogative nicknames over the last year on the campaign, including: “Little Michael Bloomberg”, “Crooked Hillary” [Clinton], “Corrupt [Tim] Kaine”, “Liddle Marco [Rubio]“, “Lyin’ Ted” [Cruz], “Crazy Bernie” [Sanders], “Goofy” [Elizabeth Warren] and “Low Energy Jeb” [Bush].

The president took a swipe at the Republican nominee in his primetime convention address on Wednesday but didn’t attach the “demagogue” characterization directly to Trump.

Right- If Obama really were name-calling in true Trump style he would have come up with “Demagoggin’ Donnie”…

Donald Trump, after hearing speeches at the Democratic convention this week, said Thursday he wanted to “hit a number of those speakers so hard, their heads would spin.”

“They’d never recover,” he said.

“I was going to hit one guy in particular, a very little guy,” Trump said to laughs at a campaign rally in Davenport, Iowa. “I was going to hit this guy so hard his head would spin, he wouldn’t know what the hell happened.”

As the article states, he probably didn’t mean actually hitting someone. Trump is such a cowardly bully. He can dish it, but he can’t take it. Hillary Clinton was spot on last night when she said:

“A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons.”

Honestly, Hillary has almost won me over. I don’t like or trust her, but damn…look at the alternative.

Remember the birthers, not just the ones who actually believed the nonsense, but those who never did but still welcomed, aided and embraced it. The ones who did nothing to stop it.

We are at the edge of the abyss.

THAT is the fundamental problem, and it is not a problem that will go away if Trump is defeated at the polls this time around, regardless of how soundly or completely he is defeated. Sooner or later, some random disaster or minor crisis will strike that will open the door for Trump, or someone like him.

We live in a society that has no grasp of the flow and complexity of history. Its an all-or-nothing, instant gratification, short attention span, easy solution electorate; one that demands demons and messiahs, scapegoats and saviors to explain our problems and deliver us from them.

There is an endless supply of Trumps out there, lining up to take his place. All its going to take is one of them.

The only (best) way to haandle that son-of-a-bitch is to hurt him and keep him hurting. Pay no attention to his protestations – the man is a coward and if one Stay with it he will corner himself.
Another trait. He cannot apologize, at least not sincerely. So it will be relatively easy to back him into a corner. Don’t let him out, don’t argue it, just move on to the next hole he’s dug for himself, or go back to the last one. Doesn’t matter.
Remember, the guy is a coward who cannot stand up to someone who picks him apart withoout mercy, without trying to be “fair”, without “I sort of see your point
bullshit.

Donald Trump said Wednesday that, if he is elected president, he would consider recognizing Crimea as Russian territory and lifting the sanctions against Russia.
At a wide-ranging news conference, Trump said he “would be looking into that” when asked about his stance on Crimea and Russia. Both were pretty lame jokes, but sarcasm cuts both ways. I’m not disappointed in the least to see the democrats play it straight when it was obvious sarcasm. Trump deserves no less than what he is getting.
