The lady is a perfect stereotype of the artsy-fartsy, scatterbrained liberal ditz. A total flake. She’s a real embarrassment to progressives; every cringeworthy lefty cliche in the book. I always thought she was picked just because she made Joe look good, she provided the right “balance” but wasn’t likely to overshadow him.

Fortunately, Scarborough is a real gentleman and has a pretty good head on his shoulders. He’s tough, but he fights fair. I’ve seen him pull back and refrain from totally humiliating her in debate for what must be purely charitable reasons. Unlike most media conservatives, he defends his principles well, but is ready to point out when his party does something really moronic, which lately has been quite frequently. I understand he has become the latest addition to the right-wing enemies list.

I enjoy listening to Morning Joe because his common sense keeps me grounded in reality when I tend to stray off center due to my own partisan prejudices. When Mika has one of her hysterical kumbaya hissy fits and pouting sessions I generally wind up rooting for Joe, even though I may side with her on the politics.

I like the Morning Joe format and the personalities, and when I had cable, I never missed it. But I always felt Mika, although certainly decorative, was the weakest link in the chain.

Since I stopped watching, I must have missed the Trumpster’s latest misogynist outrage. I hope Joe gave it right back to him, in spades. Remember the time Scarborough cut off the Donald and moved to a commercial when Trump tried to give him the run-around on a tough question?
As for Megan Kelly, the FOX fox probably had it coming. But did Trump diss Katy Turr, too? Now THAT is unforgivable.
