I think the debate was already over in Trump's mind, in multiple senses. I was pleasantly surprised by Wallace. He'd said it wasn't his job to be a fact-checker, but that didn't stop him from asking Trump questions about his previous lies. He also had the distinction of growling back at Trump and managed to shut him down a couple of times. Nice job of setting low expectations and exceeding them.
