That’s one; there are more. And there’s a growing consensus that Democrats should give up on the “bipartisan” delusion and stop setting themselves up for failure by “reaching across the aisle” (like Charlie Brown kicking the football Lucy’s setting up, how many times do Democrats need that hand spit upon to learn that Republicans consider “bipartisan” a synonym for “Democrats surrender”).

In other words, Democrats might learn from the Tea Party how to destroy a Presidency from a position of (apparent) weakness.

I’m coming across the word “resistance” a lot lately, sometimes even “The Resistance” (which Keith Olbermann will soon try to trademark, I’m sure). People are hunkering down for a fight.

One pundit tried for clever equivalency by saying “You guys hated Obama because you’re racists, we hate Trump because he’s a racist”. But I think it runs deeper than that: Nobody had to gin up fear of Trump, like the vast rightwing media conspiracy did with Obama. Trump gave too many people too many real reasons to fear him, straight from the horse’s ass-shaped mouth.

Trump’s attacking people even before he takes office, but already people are attacking Trump right back. This is going to be a fight.

And now a buffoon has risen to power thanks to the bigotry, cowardice and stupidity of the minority… The majority of us saw him as the threat he is, but it made no difference.

His crowds could get ugly, Trump conceded Friday in a speech before some 11,000 fans in Orlando, Florida, that’s part of his “thank you” tour.

“You people were vicious, violent, screaming, ‘Where’s the wall? We want the wall!’ Screaming, ‘Prison! Prison! Lock her up!’ I mean you are going crazy. I mean, you were nasty and mean and vicious and you wanted to win, right?” said Trump, speaking from an outdoor stage at the Florida fairgrounds.

“But now, you’re mellow and you’re cool and you’re not nearly as vicious or violent, right? Because we won, right? Now you’re sort of laying back … you’re basking in the glory of victory.”

However, his Florida fans weren’t all that mellow during his speech. They broke out twice into renewed chants of “lock her up, lock her up.” That prompted Trump to smile and say, “Oh, that’s so terrible.”

Oh he had a message of ‘unity’ too…

“Whether you are African-American, Hispanic-American, Asian-American, whatever the hell you might be, we are all Americans and we are all united by one shared destiny,” he said.

That shared destiny being, of course, fiery oblivion…
