Not just talk radio, but the whole Right wing blogosphere, cable news outlets, and all the rest of the entire media machine that caters to the new Right, the Alt-Right, and all the other Rights that have flourished since Obama arrived on the scene. They won’t have Libtard Obummer Hillary to kick around any more, and the entire political infrastructure will be dominated by Right Wing Republicans. Who will be the new target du jour?
How are they going to maintain their audiences, keep them fired up and to flourish even as a business, getting advertisers and so on? The Senate and House will be GOP, and soon the courts, from SCOTUS to Judge Judy will be singing the same tune. State governorships and local politicians will be taken over by the Republican party, so what will be the mission of the Conservative propaganda machine? How do you keep the base fired up after the opposition has been routed?
Will they concentrate on covering up for the mistakes and errors and contradictions on the Right, making excuses and blaming new problems on yesterdays Liberal Elites? Conversely, what if conditions improve in the country, like the good factory jobs come back, the illegals go home, the blacks start behaving themselves and the Russians, Chinese and Iranians meekly bare their rumps to our triumphant standards? What happens if salaries actually start rising?
Media is a business, regardless of its ideological slant, they are in the business of selling eyeballs to advertisers, what will they do now? Try to outdo each other in outrageousness? Switch sides and start to cater to the disgruntled Liberal market? There is a sort of inertia, a momentum to these things,
they simply cannot stop on a dime and pivot in a new direction. What if the Right splits into factions? What if Trump isn’t Conservative enough? Will they go after him?
Think about it. Happy new year, we do live in interesting times.
