For years, you made a point of meeting every post of which you didn’t approve with an attack on the poster’s intellect. You accused people of “not thinking properly” every time they presented a case with which you disagreed.

You dragged your politics into damn near every argument you ever entered. You left no board untouched by your own take on conservatism, and you bullied incessantly. There were times when you put on nothing short of a pathetic show.

And now you claim to hate the poison you brought here.

I was disappointed by RL’s posts on Community. It didn’t belong there. When I read it, I thought about moving it to Flame, as I rarely want to delete posts. I probably should have done something like leave a reprimanding comment. In my defense, I had little time for more than just lurking during the holidays. Hope your holiday was as nice as mine (in the Blue Ridge Mountains, log cabin, roaring fire…)

Please don’t mistake my laziness for approval of the post in question.

And now you want to attack my credibility because I offered facts which disputed said claims and turned out to be true. That’s the thanks I get for putting the record straight. That’s special Robert.

Mcfly post the bullshit you say you are going to protect him from yet you attack me setting the record straight on the fake news. . Your bias is in full glory and you wonder why people don’t post much here anymore.

And when I do, it’s on other ranges with wider audiences.

I think the issues here are much deeper than you’re willing to recognize, and I don’t think the primary problem is lack of sufficient filters to keep out things you don’t want to hear.

There’s no reason to “participate” here. It’s pointless, as you saw in the one thread I dropped in on elsewhere. Any information presented that doesn’t ride on very narrow gauge rails is met with furious anger and attacks, even when people don’t actually read it.

No part of the board is safe. It’s impossible to post anything anywhere on any subject without risking a political attack.

RL dropped a huge steamer on a Community thread whose only function was wishing old friends Merry Christmas. The moderators here obviously had no problem with this happening. One of countless examples.

Sorry, Robert. The Zone is toxic now. The excuse used to be that mild-mannered liberals were drawn into hostility by nasty political troglodytes posting here. I think it’s obvious by now after months of near-monopoly that this isn’t the case.

Nobody is here for discussion. They’re here for reinforcement. A months-long Ten Minute Hate. You have to have noticed that it’s become a tiny handful of people in a very small echo chamber. Or maybe you haven’t. You’re not even aware of what you’re implying in the post just above.

As I said, good luck. As with some other boards I read, my interest in dropping in here is mostly clinical now.

Perhaps revise it but keep to the intent this place was founded: Science without the bullshit. This place was at it’s best when it was debunking.
