"Republicans trust Putin more than the Democrats" January 7, 2017 8:04 am mcfly

Talk about a headline that speaks volumes.

Unsurprisingly, I disagree with much of what Pushkin is tweeting (what the hell is up with governance by tweet?), but one thing I think he’s got right is the utter contempt American conservatives have for liberals.

Personally, I don’t think this is a divide that can be healed. This is America, folks, forever divided right down the middle by mistrust and loathing.

It seems to me that when you hate half of America, you hate America. Which means we’re done. Half the country sees no problem with active foreign influence in our elections–we’re done. There’s no middle ground, and even if there were, there’s no longer any interest in finding it. The country is, and always will be, divided and directionless.

I think America got too big for American’s britches. It was a great dream, but that’s all it was.

Edit: sorry, forgot the link…not that it matters, it goes to the MSM that half of the country no longer trusts…

Here

Edit 2: Pushkov, not Pushkin. And certainly not Pushpin. I guess we better get used to Russian names.
