These guys know exactly what the risk/benefit ratio is on this issue, and they have determined they will make out. They feel they will be able to afford the negative aspects of AGW, and profit from its positive ones. They see it as an "opportunity". And if food prices double or coastal flooding hits they will be able to avoid food riots and move to higher ground. As for the rest of us, tough shit.

During the cigarette cancer wars, tobacco company executives were expected to be smokers. They knew the risks, but felt their premium salaries made them worth it. And they had every right to take that risk. But they didn't have the right to spend billions to lobby and bribe to block anti-smoking legislation and to advertise their product to kids. But that's exactly what they did.

This ain't about dumb. Its about greed.

Denying the greenhouse effect itself? Hasn't this numbnutz ever experienced a glazed window on a winter day?

Maybe "glazed" is too technical a term for Scotty. How about, has he ever experienced "glass"?

It really takes my breath away that the new EPA Administrator is now denying what I was taught in sixth-grade science. And funny, I was also taught how CO2 had caused Venus to become hot enough to melt lead.

Half a century ago schoolkids knew CO2 caused an atmospheric greenhouse effect.

The morons of America put a lunatic in the White House who put a moron in the EPA.
