So they implement their blindingly stupid policies in accordance with their holy scriptures- they offer up sacrifices on the altar- the poor, the sick, the powerless are all gutted on the altar as an offering… but time and time again it fails to make things better. So do they question their religion? Nope… they just double down…

I watched the Bernie people dancing down on our main street, wearing little bald-topped Bernie wigs. The young who don’t know, and the old who don’t want to know, handing out pamphlets and telling us that if we just gave the State and the Party enough control over our country, we could finally fight fascism.

Reminded me of the guys who used to dance in orange robes at airports. Same basic thinking, too.

But every time the other side brings in some budget-busting knuckle-dragging imbecile, the excuse is always “but he’s not a REAL Conservative”.

What an asinine, amoral, unprincipled position to take! And exactly what I expected of you.

The washington political corruption baggage was clearly there in the campaign, as was Trump’s obviously corrupt character, in a few weeks he has turned the washington/corporate insider corruption up to 11, was it worth it TB?

When it came down to it, you sided with the neo-nazis… The GOP really was the racist organization we always said it was, despite your feeble protests… and when it came down to showing some character, standing by your ‘principles’ -you just rolled over and accepted a racist, fascist insecure strong-man wannabe as your man…

When it came down to it, you would happily sell out your country rather than have the GOP lose another election… even if Trump represents none of the principles you used to claim to hold.

You will bear personal responsibility for the atrocities to come…

Actually, Trump may turn out to be the best thing that could have happened to this country, because the backlash against him may finally pave the way for a True Progressive like Liz Warren. I hope she will run in 2020, if we have an election at all.

If Trump, or his replacement, (I’m concerned he may be forced to resign for health reasons or he will be repealed and replaced by his own party for being insufficiently fascist) manages to get re-elected in 2020 then I really think this country is finished, unless you are in good standing in the ownership caste.

I want no part of a new Gilded Age.

I voted Trump in the election, knowing full well he would be buried in California. I left the ballot box convinced Hillary was going to be president-elect the next day. I only had two Democrats on the ballot for Senator, so I didn’t mark that spot at all. That is becoming normal here. All hail the Party.

Now you have to know who Hillary is and has been over the years, what she’s done to gain and keep political power (including attacking women who actually were sexually assaulted), and where her loyalties lie in Washington and E-Street.

You spend a lot of time here lecturing us on the horrors of corporate and other influence and corruption in our political system. Hillary wallows in that world like a pig in mud.

You telling me you didn’t paper over a few principles yourself? Hold your nose and pick who you thought was the lesser of two evils to keep someone else out of office?

I voted less for Trump than against Business as Usual in Washington, and the ever-increasing power of the State, the bureaucracy, and crony capitalism. I voted for someone outside the System. Same reason Democrats would have voted for Bernie Sanders (Hillary kicked him out of her way, too).

Did it do any good? We’ll see. God knows Trump isn’t a principled conservative ($1 trillion stimulus??) Even less so than Bush was. But at least the Washington corruption baggage wasn’t firmly in place right at the start.
