I know there’ll be more humiliating failures in store for your loser President, so it’s good to know you’re learning to be philosophical about it.

“sting” is hardly the word for how a majority of Americans felt about the election. Horrified. Disgusted. Shocked. Dread-full. Fearful at the promise of knuckle-dragging barbarians to burn down two centuries of progress. All check and double-check. But “sting”? Nah.

Seeing the effect that the determined opposition to Trump by decent Americans has had, I’d say the best word to describe my mood is “optimistic”.

We all know the old saying about how a lie can make it halfway round the world before the truth gets its shoes on, and for a long time it looked like the right’s outrageous campaign of lies about Obamacare would prevail.

But yesterday, though it took eight years, the truth finally caught up with the lies. There may be hope for America yet.

Their game plan has been to sabotage it from the beginning, and then when they succeed in throwing a monkey wrench into the works they scream “SEE! IT DOESN’T WORK!!!”

Its not just the ACA, either- that has been the GOP approach to governing for quite a while, now.
