Pence is no Jerry Ford.

He will be able to implement changes that will remain in force indefinitely, and the nation will be so relieved to see Trump gone, he will have a free hand to do so.

Whatever Trump does will be quickly discredited and can be undone. The nation can eventually recover from a military or economic disaster. Pence wants to build a different kind of America altogether.

Trump is history. Forces have already been set in motion, in his own party, to remove him before the campaigning gets underway for the next mid-term election. The Democrats will be blamed for it, a charge which they will gladly accept, (which will provide the Republicans cover from the revenge of the trogs), but it can't happen without GOP assistance.

But as I keep on trying to tell you guys, be careful what you wish for. Trump's replacement, and the dismantling of his constituency, is not going to signal a new era of liberal sweetness and light in Washington. The agenda will still be the same, a return to the politics and economics (and socio-cultural fascism) of the early twentieth century, and this time there will be no Teddy Roosevelt around to bust the Trusts.

Frankly, I think we're better off with Trump.

You are the ONLY conservative here that has displayed intellectual honesty, and a rational ethical consistency... I DO respect that.

Just his anti-science policies on climate are a threat to all humanity... but with this level of incompetence, coupled with an extremely pathologically dangerous psychological profile I am just as worried we won't be around as a civilization long enough to face the consequences of the climate damage.

Rumsfeld typically gets ill treatment with regard to that quote, but it is really spot on.

I remember a study a while back about how well people judge their own competence. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect

Donanld Trump fits the Dunning Kruger effect like well-tailored suit.
