He was no Obama, but at least he spoke good English. I believe he is deliberately affecting the uncultured lout because he has made the judgement that that is what his constituency (or at least, the class of voters he has tried to appeal to) will feel he is, one of them. This reveals a higher level of intelligence than we tend to give him credit for, (which shows why we have had such a tendency to under-estimate him) and a level of contempt for his supporters that is utterly <del datetime="2017-04-29T15:17:32+00:00">unpresidented</del>, unprecedented in American politics. He sounded more then like the way he looked, well-groomed and tailored, athletic, graceful, poised and even good-looking. I believe he truly believes that a substantial portion of the American people is scared, ignorant, angry, and hateful and I truly believe he might be right. He is convinced that what they are looking for is a strong man, a bully, a tough guy who will not only punish, but humiliate, their enemies. He is the political equivalent and logical extrapolation of the characters portrayed by Chuck Norris, Steven Segal, Clint Eastwood, John Wayne and Charles Bronson. He will take care of the good people and dismember alive all the bad ones. He's the All-American redneck revenge fantasy incarnate. He's the football coach, the drill instructor, the tough Boss, the badass cop, the take-no-shit from-inanimate-objects kind of guy who will no longer allow himself to be pushed around by Liberals, feminists, uppity minorities, arrogant foreigners, smarty pants college types, filthy hippies. and other un-American sissies and faggots. "Make my day, punk."
