Only American Republicans seem to be opposed to the idea, because they understand accepting it will eventually mean their corporate profits will be affected by taxes, regulations, and changes in business models needed to accommodate a more sustainable lifestyle and economy.

In order to continue this short-sighted and self-serving policy, they have declared war on science and a free press, accused any who disagree with them of treason and sedition, and spent vast fortunes on public relations and propaganda campaigns to attempt to sway public opinion. And they have manufactured a rift in American political discourse in an attempt to isolate and marginalize those they feel are a threat to their accumulation and domination.

We should do everything possible as a society to carefully document this behavior and to preserve the evidence. If the human race and modern civilization survive this crisis, there will be a judgement, something like the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunals. These activities are crimes against humanity, or at the very least, comparable to treason and war profiteering. The record must be published, the crimes must be exposed, and the perpetrators punished. This must never be allowed to happen again. It is our obligation as patriots and citizens to see to it that it can’t happen again.

In the 20th century, three great crimes against humanity were carried out but were eventually repudiated:
Fascism, Communism and Colonialism. The attempt to justify and prolong the continuation of global warming is the great evil of OUR time. If we allow it to stand, history, and our posterity, will never forgive us.
