Are there tapes or not…? but the only thing ‘simple’ about this man is the man himself.

The White House indicated Monday that it could disclose by the end of the week whether tapes exist of President Trump’s private conversations with former FBI Director James Comey.

Trump has faced scrutiny in the weeks since he appeared to suggest that he’d taped all of his conversations with Comey.

The topic came up again Monday, as reporters asked White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, during an untelevised, no audio-recorders-allowed daily press briefing, whether he would reveal whether the administration had made such tapes.

Spicer said he would “probably” have an answer “by the end of this week.”
