It sounds like he's auditioning for Spicer's job. June 23, 2017 4:52 pm hank

Moved from Space/Science.

Perry’s not as dumb as he looks.

Dealing with climate change is going to mean regulation on business, higher taxes, and expensive changes in our economic and industrial activities as well as our lifestyle and satndard of living.

Republicans don’t want to do this because it will negatively affect their bottom line. It will cost them money. Not only that, it will probably cause long-term economic dislocations that they fear will be blamed on them. This will cost them power.

Wherever the climate is heading, it will affect them last, because they have all the money. They can afford to pay whatever it takes to protect themselves from rising waters, increased storms and drought, and the military, social, civil and environmental consequences. The rest of us will just have to put up with it as best we can. So they simply refuse to do anything about it, and are determined no one else will either. When it finally hits the fan and not even their knuckle dragging constituency will be able to deny it any longer, they’ll figure out some way of blaming it all on the Liberals.

Perry is stalling. And the selfishness of his crowd is absolutely breathtaking. They are counting on the crisis not coming in their lifetimes. Not only do they not care what happens to our kids, they apparently don’t give a flying fuck what happens to theirs. Now I can understand how the Perrys and Trumps of this world feel this way, what I can’t fathom is why their wannabee admirerers have bought into the medicine show. Do they really believe Mammon will reward them for their loyalty?

Just because you’re a horse’s ass doesn’t mean you can ace a course in veterinary anatomy.
