https://www.cbo.gov/system/files/115th-congress-2017-2018/costestimate/52849-hr1628senate.pdf

This is harvesting profits for the few off the bodies of the poor...

People with income below 100 percent of the FPL who were not eligible for Medicaid
could generally receive premium tax credits under this legislation and not under current
law. However, even with the net premium of $300 shown in the illustrative examples for
a person with income at 75 percent of the FPL ($11,400 in 2026), the deductible would
be more than half their annual income. The net premium of a silver plan for a 40-year-old
would be about 15 percent of their annual income, and the deductible would be more than
one-third of their annual income.

Its possible McConnell realized BCrap would destroy the GOP, and this is a good way to withdraw gracefully with a minimum of damage.

As for having second thoughts about the last 8 years of treachery...
NAAAAAHHH!

Just read the news that Mitch has delayed the vote on the BCRAP until after the July 4th holidays. Which is not in itself ironic. The irony was finding myself wondering if McConnell had deliberately crafted a bill that would fail to "repeal" Obamacare, while providing political cover to Republican Senators for that failure. The moderates can go home and blame it on the conservatives, the conservatives can go home and burn the moderates in effigy. And a good time will be had by all.

What if they really don't want to do this horrible thing, but feel trapped by eight years of lies and bitter rhetoric and blood oaths into at least going through the motions?

Am I delusional, or what?
