The Republicans control all three branches of government at all levels but they can't get any of their programs passed because they seem incapable of getting out of each other's way.. Left and Right are at each other's throats and seem unable to cooperate to get anything done. It really doesn't matter what you think the reasons for this impasse are, or which side is responsible for it, it nevertheless exists. The US government doesn't work anymore, and its business community is corrupt to the point of criminality. No major institutions are trusted, and the populace is dominated by hate, ignorance, fear and anger. It think we're up shit creek.
