If this were a hockey game–sigh–it would be said, hank, that you’d just “tickled the twine,” and as a spectator I’d be obligated to actually throw my hat onto the ice. I have no hat…but luckily there’s no ice.

Three thumbs down from you guys is a pretty decisive assessment, but I’m sure Zuckerberg can find a small measure of solace in his bank book.

Being a successful businessman does not qualify you to be President, on the contrary, it often disqualifies you. The characteristics of a good businessman are antithetical to those of a successful politician because the criteria for success of a business and a nation are not the same. Businesses need to be profitable and to grow, it is not their mission to make their employees happy. In fact, the employees are expendable when they no longer contribute to profitability and growth. Businessmen, or those who wish they were businessmen, may not agree with me but that is precisely why they should not be political leaders.

Now I concede that some of the characteristics of a business leader would be useful to a politician, such as being a good administrator and organizer. But business enterprises are not nations. Their mission statements are fundamentally different.

Being a rich and famous CEO isn’t guaranteed to make a person turn out like Donald Trump, and Zuck does have a reputation for basically decent impulses. But the fact that he’s had to go on a guided tour of “real America” tells you the problem: He’s no more in touch with the concerns of the huge majority than is Donald Trump. His view of dealing with life’s problems can’t help but be skewed by owning an effectively unlimited amount of the universal problem solvent, money.

And again, his emotional makeup is nothing like Trump’s, but for all his probable decency, I don’t think he has the right “gut” to be President, good let alone great.

God save us from well-meaning billionaires. At least Elon Musk can’t run for President.

Ultimately, the deal breaker for Zuckerberg is his complete lack of reality tv experience.

But on a serious note, a while back I opined here about how a political track record should perhaps be mandatory for Presidential candidates. Might as well suggest that only those who finish high school can run, though…half the country would scream about how “the elites” always want to be in charge.

But if it ever came down to someone like Zuckerberg vs…oh, I dunno, say…Kid Rock, I’d cheer for Zuckerberg, but quietly sound my wife out on the idea of moving to Canada. I’m pretty sure they’d take me back.

Hasn’t Trump taught us that going with someone with no political experience, no experience with making law… is a REALLY BAD idea?

Liberal or conservative- whatever he is it is NOT good….

And I REALLY don’t like the idea of someone that has made a living exploiting big data on billions of people, and has provided a global platform for fake news getting anywhere near the reigns of power…
