The transcripts speak for themselves, I need not comment on the policy involved, or the competence or morality of the man implementing it.

But these are private conversations with world leaders by the President of the United States. It is scandalous that they are being made public. Not only does it embarrass our allies and encourage our enemies, it makes the entire world lose confidence in us.

No, I do not blame the press for publishing these documents. That is their job, it is not up to them to make judgments on what should or should not be made public. Except for strict military matters, such as troop movements and readiness, strategic intentions and capabilities, and technical details of weapon systems, the press is under no obligation to maintain secrecy over diplomatic and political matters. It is their responsibility to tell us what the government is up to.

The President is furious about these leaks, and he has every right to be so, and to do what he can to stop them. But we must also keep in mind that they come from HIS administration. You can't blame the Lamestream Media and the Liberal Elites for information that is being delivered to them by the President's own men--people he has hired and vetted, people he trusts, are undermining his program. His own staff is out to bring his presidency down. Although a little of this goes on in every government, the frequency and severity of these leaks tells us much more about the Trump presidency, and by extension, his political philosophy, than any issues of competence or morality brought up by the leaked material itself.

Scaramucci was right. There are people in this White House who are determined to destroy the Trump Presidency. They are not his ideological opponents but Conservatives and Republicans who are in many cases appointed and supervised directly by his administration. And they are not just a few disgruntled employees or unscrupulous careerists or ideological fifth columnists. This should tell us something.
