Until quite recently, I thought that studying what happened in Germany in the 20th century could help me understand what is happening in America right now.
Now, I’m not so sure. Indeed, I’m starting to wonder if a study of contemporary American events might not be just what I need to make sense of Germany’s history after the first world war.
