Why not a statue of Custer on the Sioux Reservation? August 16, 2017 7:15 am hank

Why not a statue of Hitler in Tel Aviv?
Why not re-erect Saddam’s statue in Baghdad?
Why not a statue of Gen. Sherman in downtown Atlanta?
How about a statue of Fidel in Little Havana, FL?
How about a statue of Stalin ANYWHERE in Eastern Europe.
And how about a memorial to Osama Bin Ladin at the site of the Twin Towers?

Statues and flags are potent psychological and political symbols, they’re not just about heritage and history, they’re about “We’re still around and we don’t give a shit about what you think, so deal with it.”

I was born and raised in the south, and I know for a fact all this masturbatory infatuation with all things Confederate is just redneck for “Fuck you, Yankee, Liberal, Nigger! We’e still here, so deal with it.”

So, “Redneck…deal with THAT.” Maybe its about time YOU got used to being treated like a foreigner in the country you were born in.
