I just subscribed to the Washington Post August 19, 2017 8:14 am Robert

Why in the world is that news? I posted something a while back about how I wanted to subscribe, but they were putting up a fight, irrationally, to my mind, insisting that you had to pay a premium to use an Android app with a decent user interface. As opposed to the app with the horrible interface you have to use with a basic subscription.

There’s no way to know if the couple of emails I sent complaining about it, and trying to shame them into changing the policy–at one point I told them I was offering charity to even pay for it–had anything to do with the decision. Could be some MBA just looked at two graphs and said “that one!”. But I’ve been checking their subscription terms once in a while, and today they were different, promising access to “all” the apps. They actually said “all”.

But anyway, if you were holding off on a subscription because of the app policy, and let’s be honest, reading
WaPo anyway through the paywall simply by using your browser’s “incognito mode”, rejoice, sinner, you are saved! No more nagging guilt, no more juggling browser windows! Free! Free at last!
