Possibly our chaotic system transitioning from one metastable state to another. At a minimum, it's the opportunity to deploy a cliche. Or maybe it's a meme being born, the Confederate cosplay sadsack (armed with a rifle and a pistol, a fact left out by alt-right sob-sisters) waving the battle flag in front of the statue, faced down, hell rooted in the ground, by a nasty woman armed with her two middle fingers and righteousness. Oh yeah, you've come a long way, baby! I'm proud. A week after Charlottesville, there was Boston, and that's still a sweet memory. It's harder to believe that Canada has its own alt-right, than to believe that Canada would cough up the hairball when it noticed. Good for Canada.
