Who would have guessed Vlad the Inciter was a secret supporter of the 2nd Amendment? And an unexpected bonus would be a heavily armed and predominantly racist Brownshirt Militia in place to provide the muscle and intimidation to further Right-wing policies. Think the Bundy incident in Nevada.

Up to now, my search for parallels between the rise of the American Conservative movement and Germany’s takeover by Hitler and the Nazis lacked one key element. The American Right lacked a paramilitary force which could be quickly mobilized and deployed to overcome resistance from the people, civic institutions and legitimate government authority. The final brick in the wall is now in place.

You know, I expect our country’s enemies to conspire against us. After all, that’s their job. What I never imagined was the complicity, collusion and treachery of American Conservatives in furthering that conspiracy.

These traitors will stop at nothing to get their tax cuts, business deregulation, entitlement reform, welfare roll-backs and to abolish Obamacare and anything like it once and for all.

And no, I’m not accusing Conservatives of racism, but it seems to me the popular-vote election (and re-election) of a black President coincided with and was the inspiration for, this slow-motion Putsch.

2018 is the year it will go down, folks. They have to move quickly now while they have the momentum, while they have consolidated their gains and before a potential military defeat abroad, an economic setback at home, or further revelations from the Mueller Probe can affect the mid-term elections.
