Given that the President has asserted that it is ‘TREASON’ that democrats didn’t applaud his SOTU address, it is worth looking at the term.
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
No where does it say that failure to applaud a president is treason…
What IS treason is to conspire with our nation’s enemies to subvert our election- as is supporting a fascist buffoon that does so…
It is NOT treason to refrain from applauding a traitor…
He has called the press the ‘enemy of the American people’, and calls those that refuse to applaud him ‘Treasonous’ – this IS fascist, and anyone that supports this betrays all that America was supposed to stand for.

I don't think its treason.
- Assisting an enemy in attacking our election process is Treason....
