Rex Tillerson is fired as Secretary of State, replaced by Mike Pompeo, currently CIA chief.

Tillerson was the former Boy Scout Boss and Exxon executive who negotiated with V. Putin a cooperative agreement to exploit Arctic sea ice melting by financing developing oil reserves in the Russian Arctic–and the Gulf of Mexico. Too bad about Rex, not only was he a friend of Russia (Vlad the Impaler gave him a Hero medal), but he was probably the last senior administration official willing to go on record saying global warming actually existed. Well, I guess if things get too hot for him in DC, Putin can always offer him asylum in a dacha East of the Urals.

And you remember Pompeo, don’t you? He was the lickspittle Neanderthal Hillary repeatedly bitch-slapped into submission at the Benghazi hearings. I guess he wasn’t fitting in very credibly as an intelligence officer. Quelle surprise.

Pompeo will be succeeded at Central Intelligence by Gina Haspel.
