Everything about the revival of the show was an exercise in rightwing bad faith, from Roseanne Barr exploiting a long-past reputation for liberalism to slip in the rightwing shiv, the show's use of offensive liberal caricatures, like the hapless "Jackie", and stock rhetorical poison like the implication that their problems affording (and abusing) prescriptions are all Obama's fault (they surely live in a state whose Republican government blocked the Medicaid expansion).
