Wow. It's like Trump is our 14 year old daughter, and Putin is the 40 year old guy she's been calling.

By now, the world has learned that nothing the man says can be taken seriously, and that no one should actually base policy or commit to any agreement based on what he has said--publicly OR privately. The real threat is that in one of these little clandestine chats he will reveal a vital national secret or betray a solemn confidence from our allies. On the other hand, even if he does give away the farm or commit us to a disastrous policy, our enemies will never really know whether or not what he said was true, or even if he believed it while he said it. Indeed, the chances are he won't even remember a word of it. Perhaps its better if his misstatements are all channeled into tweets and private conversations where they will be either publicly verifiable, or unknown to the public.

Unfortunately, the intricately detailed and thoroughly researched diplomatic commitments we do make will not be very believable or useful documents due to the way our foreign services have been neglected and populated by uncouth illiterate amateurs. Remember how Pompeo was humiliated by Hillary during the Bunghazi hearings? Do you recall what an ass the man made of himself desperately trying to trip her up, but failing spectacularly? This is now the jerk leading our foreign policy and diplomatic service. This is the man dealing with Putin and the Chinese and Korean leadership, not to mention our terrified allies. Tillerson may have been a self-serving corporate apparatchik, but at least the man was capable of cogent thought and action. This new guy is a pompous and pathetic vulgar farce.

Its insanely dangerous...
Cellphone surveillance detected near the White House, DHS says

Cellphone surveillance devices were detected near the White House and other sensitive locations in the Washington, DC, area last year, a government study found.

The spying technology, called International Mobile Subscriber Identity devices and known alternatively as Stingrays or IMSI catchers, was discovered as part of a review by the Department of Homeland Security conducted last year and detailed in a letter the agency sent to Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, last month.
While the presence of the cell-site simulators in the nation's capital had been previously reported, their detection near the White House first emerged in the May letter after elected officials pressed DHS for more information amid concerns about the potential national security threat posed by the devices and vulnerabilities in the nation's telecommunications network.
