Schuster, like many of the other great German physicists of that era, was of Jewish ancestry. Perhaps some races ARE intellectually superior to others!

He proposes it would exhibit anti-gravity, at least with respect to ordinary matter. Clearly, he was not familiar (nor did he have any reason to be) with the idea of mutual annihilation; and obviously, the concept of the electric charges of sub-atomic particles never occurred to him. Then again, did we know of the existence of protons and electrons in 1898?

As for Ms Thomas, she must not be too familiar with snakes, which usually swallow their prey head-first.
We can see why, too. The predated item is not likely to walk out under its own power if it is aimed the other away.
I used to own a pet rat snake, and it always started at the head.

PS. I met P.A.M. Dirac in the early 1970s. He gave a lecture to the USF Society of Physics students, and the topic, as I recall, was about the anti-electron.
