Is it still able to drown out the voices that warned you of the disaster to come?

You MUST see now that those that warned you were right – 5 years ago we knew that Trump was an ignorant, bigoted, and amoral fascist- wholly unqualified for the role of president. We were not prescient, we just could see the plainly obvious facts.

We repeatedly pointed out those facts to you all- but you willfully denied reality- scoffing at us for pointing out his bigotry.

His obvious flaws were clearly spelled out in bold typeface for anyone to read- yet people like you, FrankC and SteveS TB and Jody only saw blurry ink blots and read into them only what you wanted to see. And like a Rorschach test, it revealed far more about you than you realize.

In his obvious racism a pandering to white supremacists you chose to see a ‘man telling it like it is’. Why do you think that would be? Why do you think it is that you now stand on the same side as the white nationalists?

In his glaring insecurity and fragility you saw only strength and confidence. What sort of a man sees strength in the actions of a bully that only attacks the powerless? A man that attacks women, dead war heroes, and the disabled. What deviant mind can find something to respect about that? What perversity could lead you to confuse bluster and bombast for competence? Do you realize what it reveals about your own weaknesses and insecurities?

Trump lied to you countless times before the election. He has continued to lie at an increasing pace since then… insulting your intelligence over 16,000 times in 3 1/2 years. Yet you see it as ‘man saying what he really thinks’. Do you see what that reveals about your own low-opinions of yourselves? Deep down you KNOW he only has contempt for you, but you love the spectacle of his abuse of those more powerless than yourselves- so you keep clinging to him… like the weak and cowardly boys that attach themselves to the schoolyard bully so they can experience the vicarious thrill of his cruelty… to have that power by proxy.

Your support of this, your defense of it, strips off all your pretense of being decent human beings- revealing you for what you really are. Weak, cruel bitter losers that only feel content when you are able to ensure others suffer more than you.

Are you still able to look in the mirror? How many former acquaintances, friends, and lovers now want nothing to do with you now that you have exposed your real self to them?

You earned the rage and pain that is coming to you, and you deserve none of the compassion that you have gleefully denied to your victims. May you burn long in the flames you helped to light.

You used to have some semblance of a mind- that is all gone now- what happened to you?

Family values? Do you think the Libs invented infidelity? Trump has been married three times, and by his own admission regularly cheated on all his wives. I know for a fact at least as many Repubs as Dems have been caught chasing strange poontang, or for sure the bible bangers would be beating us over the head with it.

Fiscal Responsibility? The GOP isn’t for lowering spending, they’re for lowering taxes, and not ours, but theirs! We’re heading for a national debt in the trillions now due to that tax bill the GOP crammed through Congress in the middle of the night. You KNOW that, for Chrissake. And what about that Republican health plan that was going to replace Obamacare?

Our Allies? They openly question whether they can count on us or not. What makes you think we can count on them now?

Enemies fear us? Yeah, right. China is fortifying the S China Sea, threatening all our Asian allies and one of the world’s major trade routes. Putin is turning the melting Arctic into a Russian lake, Russia is active in Ukraine, Georgia, Syria, threatening Moldova and the Baltics, and building up a major European ground attack capability, a blue water navy and a whole new strategic weapons technology. And what is Trump doing in reply…a fucking SPACE FORCE? Not to mention they’re meddling in our elections, threatening our infrastructure with cyber warfare and selling conspiracy and fake news on the internet. And Trump doesn’t even bring it up when he checks in with his boss! That doesn’t sound like “they fear us” to me. And we let Israel have anything they want because the bible-bangers think it might help their sorry asses when the Rapture comes.

Pipelines? We’re switching over to natural gas, haven’t you heard? The pipelines aren’t for us, they’re to sell Canadian oil to Europe. We won’t see a drop of it. But you can bet the Koch brothers will get rich skimming their 10% off the top.

The Wall? The illegals come here in planes, trains and automobiles, by the millions, because they are being hired by Republican hypocrite businessmen and farmers. The Wall isn’t to keep the Mexicans out, its to keep Deplorables deluded and American employers rich.

Rob. He has conned you. You haven’t been paying attention. He doesn’t care about anything that matters to you. And neither do any of his friends. They are all businessmen. The only truth Trump has ever uttered is that he’s going to run this country like a business. A very profitable business.

Oh, and by the way…he STILL hasn’t shown us his tax returns.

Fiscal Responsibility? Pffft. Even with a balanced budget, we’ll never see solvency. It’s a lost cause.

Our traditional allies? They well deserved the spanking they got.

Enemies? They now fear us. A bad thing? Human rights are not for us to dictate. Leave it to the UN.

Granted, he does look out for his own.

I’m happy to see the advancement of the pipelines. Progress is being made on ANWAR. I want the wall no matter how impractical you might think it is. It’s solely about where tax money goes. I really do love the Mexican people. I hope you know the them like I do.

We have always been kindred souls.I’ve always considered you one. We are on opposite sides of the.fence but we are close. I’m reaching out, hoping I’ll be part of this community again someday.

Fiscal responsibility? Not really a Trumpian strong point. Actually, nothing that includes the word “responsibility” can be counted among his strengths (whatever those might be).

Solidarity with our traditional allies? No, mainly because we no longer have any traditional allies.

Strength in the face of our historic foes? Meh, he seems to find it a lot more fun to kick back and relax with dictators and mass murderers than to hound them about human rights and other such pointless nonsense.

Law and order? As administered by a dumb southern retard (to paraphrase)? He does seem eager, though, to get law and order off the backs of his fellow republicans. And himself.

Yes, I’m being facetious, but only to a point. Conservative values are of zero importance to Trump.

Trump has betrayed every damn thing conservatives publicly claimed to believe in, and you all went along with it because you thought you had a chance to stick it to the liberals…

George Will, John McCain, Michael Steele, Steve Schmidt, Joe Scarborough, Jeff Flake…I could go on. There is no shortage of Republicans who have called Trump out, even if only after they decided to get out of politics, or because they were journalists and commentators and their ethics were superior to their career goals..

Its not the views of the others we found intolerable, it was the self-serving cowardice. That, and the lies.

Its like our past debates about WMDs, Global Warming, Muslim rapists, Minutemen, Benghazi or Birtherism. Rather than admit they might have been wrong about those things, they simply refuse to play at all. At least, Rob comes back to stick up for his side, after which he regularly gets abused, and pounded into submission..

Personally I would like to see our wingnuts come back, but at the very least they might lead off by admitting once, just once, that maybe they were mistaken about something. Anything.
