Of Flags and First Men October 22, 2018 10:32 am mcfly

I saw First Man a few days ago, and really loved it. Gosling did a magnificent job, imho.

It’s a longish movie. My wife fell asleep a couple of times (in her defense we were out of town and neither of us slept well in the hotel), but I was fairly mesmerized. I haven’t read the book, so I learned much about Armstrong in viewing the movie.

I won’t offer any potential spoilers, but permit me to say that those who are crying about the “omitted” flag-planting scene have missed the point of the film entirely. To whine about the flag is tantamount to complaining about a missing course-correction scene.
