I’m looking into my own soul and asking why do I look at Warren and feel so much apprehension? I’m not sexist, truly. I supported Hillary fully in 2016 and during the primaries in 2008.

I feel like Warren would get crushed. It looks like a strong wind would knock her over. It’s like electing your school teacher president. Republicans would walk all over her.

Like RL below, your comments make good sense. But I still think that this time, more than ever, we should vote for our principles instead of just to get our man elected.

Getting their man elected at all costs is what the Republicans did last time, and you can see see what they got.

Besides, there was nothing wrong with Hillary. All the objections against here were meticulously manufactured and maliciously propagated by the GOP to discredit the last Democratic success story in the White House, the Clintons. The Republicans will do everything they can to smear any Democrat, even if we nominate a squeaky clean born-again Christian military veteran and successful businessman country boy from the Deep South.

All the Right cares about is not paying taxes and removing all inconvenience from big business. They won’t vote for another Lincoln unless he signs on to that. And they’ll gladly vote for another Trump if he does.

I love Warren’s ideas, her policies, her history, everything about her philosophically. But for gawd fucking sake this is not the moment in history to break social barriers, it’s the moment to save the fucking planet! Trump is an extinction level event. If he’s still in office in 2020 he needs to be defeated by someone who can convince a few hundred thousand more white midwesterners to vote democratic. Biden can get it done. Warren will make a fine Senate Finance Committee Chairwoman when Dems win back the Senate in 2020. For the love of fuck the last thing we need is another Hillary!
