Any other departure for the man; 25th amendment, impeachment, death or health problems (whether from natural causes or foul play), a GOP palace revolt or even a full resignation, will only be seized upon by his followers as evidence of a Deep State <em>coup d'etat</em>, supported by fake news from the MSM and the Liberal Elite. He (and the rest of his gang of craven enablers) has to lose an election, big time, and there has to be dancing in the street after they're gone before the Trumplodytes slink off back to their holes once and for all. His followers may be armed and fanatic, but they are basically bullies and cowards. They will not take it into the streets until they have convinced themselves they are in the majority. What I'm afraid of is a resurgence down the line of the knuckledraggers if the Democrats are not able to clean up the mess left behind by Trump. After all, Obama was able to turn the Bush Recession around and the Right is still blaming him for causing it.
