I just found this YouTube video posted in 2012, created by fans using modern CGI to recreate the two scenes from Star Trek: The Motion Picture that inspired the term “starship porn”: Kirk’s inspection of the Enterprise in drydock, and leaving drydock.

Nice job. The spacedock is rendered as an intricate network of brown angular girders, against which the brilliant white curves of the ship are just…well, it’s why ships are always called “she”. Perhaps it’s better called “starship erotica”. Check it out.
