My first ‘real’ computer (NOT Counting ATARI etc) cost my family 2 cows – sold them and used the money to buy a computer when I went off to college… we joked that computing power would be measured in units of cow-power. Its clock rate was, I think, 30MHz…

A large part of the cost was the HUGE 30Megabyte hard-drive… now you can get more than 30,000 times that for ~$450 and it is the size of a fingernail…
