Firefox is no longer whining, and there's a green padlock up there. I'll try Chrome in a bit, though I'm trying to avoid it as much as possible (Wapo called it a "surveillance browser" recently, and they're so damn right).

Please let me know if any of the problems reported below haven't gone away. Bad certs can have weird effects, like the one about your computer clock being off (well yeah, set it back 24 hours, and the certs are no longer expired).

I think your credit card is safe again, RL. To be sure, please go to your profile page, and enter the card number in the web site field and the CVV in the AIM field (ignore the error message about bad formatting; that's a smokescreen). Let me know when this is done, and I'll test it. At various local retailers...

Still poking at it, with less and less delicacy as time goes on. The server's survived three reboots, but comes back still out of disk space. One additional thing I was able to learn was that the disk has exhausted its "inodes", which means essentially that while it has gigabytes of unused space, the directory that allocates that space is full. Seeing if resuscitation might be possible after all.

Please stand by...

As I feared, the cert program complained that there was no temporary disk space available for it to work.

Next: Jiggle the handle. Reboot. 50/50 chance it comes back. See ya, maybe.

Just wanted to clarify that I'll be copying the user records to the new site, and your login here will continue to work. It'd help if you'd make sure your user records reflect a working email address, so I can send out email when the new site's ready (https://habitablezone.com/wp-admin/profile.php).

Thanks.
