So at first sight, it is a good prospect for investment. Think of it in terms of the Louisiana Purchase, or the great American Nineteenth Century Manifest Destiny North Mexican Land Grab, or the European Colonial experience in Africa and Asia. The human, moral, cultural and environmental issues in play are simply ignored, while the resource is viewed solely in commercial terms. And all ethical considerations are simply brushed aside as long as the purchase is for "a fair market price". As if that was all that mattered. Still, it gives us insight into the Trump, and by extension, Capitalist mind-set.
