The G8 kicked Russia out of the club because of its invasion and occupation of parts of Ukraine. Trump believes Putin deserves another chance and that the Ukraine affair was really Obama's (and Hillary Clinton's) fault anyway. You know, I really cannot bring myself to personally accept Trump is actively working to promote Russian interests over those of the Western Alliance. I simply can't imagine the motive, or any circumstances, which would lead me to believe he would willingly and deliberately do that. Its really hard to visualize Trump as an out-and-out traitor or totally compromised by Russian blackmail. Surely, only ignorance, incompetence and stupidity must be behind his actions, not anything truly malignant. However, I must concede that anyone studying Trump's actions objectively would be forced to arrive at the more sinister conclusion.
