I would very much prefer to believe that there are subtle economic, class and cultural differences that inevitably lead to the divisions and conflicts we see metastasizing around us, that there are complex social, psychological and historical reasons for what we see happening. But the harder I look at it the more I have come to believe I am just over-intellectualizing it. I'm trying to be fair but I only wind up making excuses for them. Basically, they are just a bunch of dumb Crackers and they don't know any better. It really is that simple.
