The President’s defenders (Lindsay Graham) have also suggested the book be reviewed by the Senate behind closed doors, again, ostensibly, for national security revelations. I’m sorry Lindsay, but it just won’t wash. The book is due to be released soon, there is no other reason to keep it secret other than to get past the Senate trial vote date. The revelations about the Ukraine shakedown have nothing to do with classified information, and they will be public knowledge eventually anyway.

One other thing comes to mind. Perhaps this is why Speaker Pelosi delayed the start of the trial as long as she did. Perhaps Mr Bolton and she are working together.

Still, there’s a lot of questions. How come this leak occurred at such a critical point in the Senate trial? So did, by the way, the damaging revelations by Parnas.

Could this all be an elaborate conspiracy by the Democrats to turn the trial around? Could it be a Republican ambush, that Bolton’s eventual under-oath testimony is totally exonerating for the President and the whole Democratic case is discredited once and for all?

Can Bolton be trusted? His entire career as a right wing politician, official, and writer would be destroyed if the GOP saw him as a traitor. He has every incentive to lie. Then again, he, the ultimate uber-security hawk, knows Trump is a national security threat and a Russian asset.

Nobody knows what to think any more. Uncle Vlad’s plan is working perfectly.
