Loved Estes Rockets as a kid. I was surprised when I was wandering our local hardware store and saw they had a whole couple of shelves of kits. Was very tempted!

We used to take "A" engines, glue fins, a straw guide tube, and a hand carved wine bottle cork nose cone on it and light it up. They go really high! Pack some glitter in the empty part of the engine and you get a nice little show when the parachute charge goes off.
