Watching I found what the creeper was. A lot of them are dead and gone, but none of them are taking any breaths to sing, so they all seem like singing cadavers. Maybe they could work on that.

https://youtu.be/oTG2mA6pXQQ They're definitely deep in the "uncanny valley", and I think they're using deepfake software. Probably they have a video of real people singing the song, and tell the software to map the facial movements on to still images of all the people appearing in the final video. Perhaps I'm insulated a bit from being creeped out by the rational part of my brain trying to work out how the trick is done. But I do understand how it's creepy.
