people who could take time off from work found it a lot less hassle to vote. The same goes for voter registration. It takes time and effort to register, something which a lot of working people simply aren't able to come up with.

Those who couldn't take the day off, or who couldn't afford to spend a long time in line, were less likely to vote. There are people in both parties affected, but in general, it favors the Republicans more than the Democrats. And this is why they're always cutting down the number of polling places, or spacing them further apart, or keeping them away from black and poor neighborhoods.

In general, the easier it is to register or vote the more it favors the Democrats. President Trump says it all, he knows perfectly well that Republicans are more likely to vote in person than Democrats, for a variety of reasons, so restricting the use of mail-ins or absentee ballots gives his party an edge, and he knows it.

Its just another form of voter suppression. Our friends in the GOP have all sorts of compelling reasons and excuses but as the President said himself; "its the only way we can win."

And yes, they know EXACTLY what the fuck they're doing, and why.

Yeah, weed is legal here, and we make voting easy, safe, secure, paper-based, auditable, accountable...

It's a good system. I miss the polling place down at the mental heath department. But now Mrs. P. and I kick back, take time with the ballot, then ride bikes down to the courthouse and drop the ballots into the big metal box by the front door.

Honestly, especially now, y'all should give us a call and get on board.
