And its not just a "recent" list, we've been bullying other countries since the Mexican War and Commodore Perry's intimidation of Japan, and our intervention in the Boxer Rebellion in China. But we started getting into it really in earnest about a hundred and twenty years ago after our empire-building in Cuba, the Philippines and the building of the Panama Canal in what used to be Columbia.

We have always felt it was justified to interfere in other country's civil wars, or even in their politics or elections, because we did it "in order to fight Communism". Of course, it wasn't always about fighting Communism, was it? Mostly it was about securing markets and sources of raw materials, protecting our businesses there and putting some corporate-friendly thug of ours in power.

Hawaii, Asia, Central and South America, the Caribbean.
Iran, S. Vietnam, I could go on, and on and on.

Is it any wonder the rest of the world hates us? You see, its not just that we push little countries around, big countries have always done that. Its that we're such hypocrites about it.

Recent experiences with US interventions have been disastrous. Libya, Iraq, ("freeing the Iraqis from Saddam") and past actions in Latin America must make you wonder what right have we to reach out and meddle in the destiny of other countries, at the cost of American lives.I
I think Syria is part of her stance on foreign wars.

Her vote on impeachment was everything but respectable- voting 'present' was cowardice, and so plainly obvious for the self serving attempt at fence straddling that it was...

She was trying to court a small sliver of trump supporters that were uncomfortable with him, so she couldn't vote to impeach... she didn't want to infuriate democrat voters, so she couldn't vote against impeachment...

So in an act of cowardice she voted present- a vote that has no meaning beyond revealing her amorality and cynicism.... and - as calculated as it was- it failed to help her one iota... so in the end it was also stupid tactics...

I've read her platform and I'm familiar with her background.

And I highly respect her impeachment vote.
