His fantasy came true, and now he is waking up the morning after realizing he had beer-goggles on the whole time. SDAI is really getting back to his German roots- relearning the harsh lessons about fascists his ancestors learned- the hard way. He sees the disaster, of course- he may be clinically insane, but he can still see... but he will keep cheering it on, what else can he do at this point...? He sees his fantasies turning to shit, so he will soon retreat into his own delusional little world again... where he can smugly pretend to see what others cannot, where he is the hero doing the great things he was always too lazy to do in reality... where he can explain the 'true nature of reality' to his imaginary friends and have them celebrate his wisdom in the little echo chamber of his mind. Meanwhile, 100,000 have died for this little fantasy, and 100's of thousands will likely be added to the toll. He will tell himself that its for the greater good... He will cheer it all on over the next 5 months as his 'hero' becomes more and more unhinged and does more and more damage... He has no choice, since the only alternative would be to shatter his little bubble of delusion he has created around himself- and for him, that would be worse than death. He has become an addict to his own supply, he needs the crutch of his delusions to make it through the day. He might have been deserving of pity, were he not so gleeful at the damage he helped do.
