The <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/08/us/virginia-kkk-leader-harry-rogers.html" title="New York Times" rel="nofollow">New York Times</a> themselves has covered this, mentioning that a similar incident has happened in Seattle on Sunday as well. Being cheaper than airlines, it's no wonder extremists are drawn to this. However, with the majority of these incidents, I can find none that resulted in the perpetrator escaping justice. The 21st Century seems to have its cities too well charted for that to occur. Overall, hit-and-run tactics, while resurgent, have been popular for years - the problem with them nowadays is people think they can still run.
