Our counties curve is in decline so Mrs. P and I have been out, but cautiously, and only for specific missions, like the dentist, or the pharmacy. Did a Costco run, but otherwise it's delivery or curbside. Most of our fresh stuff is coming from a local farm that we stop by every week. Their eggs are great!

Otherwise, it is still hunkered down on the third acre with the ten thousand projects.

My favorite project has been "Rock of the Day." I've a yard full of interesting rocks I've collected through the years and I decided a month ago to share them with the many people who walk past our house. We live in a very walked neighborhood. So I take one of my specimens, put it on a stone wall next to the sidewalk, and on a 5x7 card try my best to tell its story. I have been delighted by the reception. People have left notes, I was out watering and got into a conversation with a pair of retired USGS folks, and love seeing parents showing their kids. Old ladies stop and look. It has brought me joy during this weird time.

I share this with you now because today's ROTD is Nodular Sillimanite Gneiss, AKA podrock:
